Books are windows on the world – and these two bookmarks reflect that in their cutwork "windows". Using many of the basic Hardanger elements, these designs could be seen a pair of long, narrow samplers; but a decorative and sturdy buttonhole border turns them into items that are useful as well as decorative, a lovely present for any bookworm.
