Counted Embroidery
Here you will find all Mabel's designs that use counted thread techniques, such as cross stitch, blackwork, and Assisi work. Hardanger is also a type of counted thread needlework, but as Mabel's main technique it has a section to itself.

Just a reminder of a few practical matters:
- Unless stated otherwise, these chart packs include a colour photograph of the finished design, a list of the materials needed to complete it (often with suggestions for alternative versions), instructions, and a chart. If the design contains speciality stitches, a stitch diagram is included as well.
- You will receive your chart pack by email in PDF format. If you would prefer a printed version, please contact us for information about printing and shipping costs.
- Because the choice of fabric is left to you, the size of these designs is given as its stitch count. To work out how large the design will be on your chosen fabric, divide the stitch count by the "count" of your fabric (i.e. the number of threads it has per inch). For example, a design 80 stitches square stitched on 14ct aida will be 80/14 = 5 2/3".
